It is common that reconstruction of the missing teeth is only possible with the use of dental implants.
First dental implants were placed in the 60’s and the patients who underwent the procedure still use their implants. Many years of observation have shown that in healthy, non-smoking patients dental implants carry a long-term success rate of 98%.

We are happy to present you a new dental implant – the most recent achievement in implantology. It is a method invented and introduced in 2005 by a Nobel Biocare company known as NobelGuide designed for extremely accurate planning of dental implantation procedure.
This method allows for immediate loading of implants with the final dental crown or bridge made before the procedure. The procedure of implant placing is performed so as to minimize injury to the surrounding tissues and the healing process is significantly shorter than with traditional methods.
The implant placing procedure is planned basing on CT scan of the jaws and a custom-made Rx guide.
CT scans are subsequently analyzed by the doctor with the use of a computer software. Implant models are positioned in three dimensional CT scans of the jaw bones. These models are precisely adjusted to the size and shape of the bone. On this basis a drill guide is generated. The drill guide allows precise transfer of the procedure plan into the patient’s oral cavity during the surgical procedure.
How the procedure looks from the patient’s point of view?
Following treatment of any dental caries and periodontal diseases we make drill guides ( or we use patient’s old removable artificial dentures) and we perform CT scan. Afterwards the doctor analyses the results of the CT scan, plans the necessary grafts, orders the necessary parts to be used during surgical procedure as well as crowns/ bridges to be set on the implant. At this stage there is no more dental impressions, try-ons or additional adjustments. We make an appointment with the patient for the procedure after which the patient leaves with the complete fixed or temporary prosthesis (depending on patient’s decision). Slight pain and swelling of tissues subside within several days. There is no need for removing stitches, because there is no incisions on the gums. We only remove a very small fragment of tissue immediately over the implant site.
This procedure allows all kinds of crowns/ bridges to be fixed to the implants. As with all implant placing procedures it is indispensable that the quality of the jaw bone be sufficient and the patient’s general health condition must be good.
