Treatment of malocclusion in children and adults using fixed /removable/ cosmetic orthodontic braces.
The type of orthodontic appliance most suitable to treat existing malocclusion will be determined by the doctor during the preliminary visit. Patients wishing to speed up the diagnostic procedure are advised to bring PANTOGRAPHY radiographs of the jaws taken beforehand for the preliminary visit, which is in usually sufficient for assessment of oral cavity hard tissues. In some cases the doctor will ask the patient to bring a CEPHALOGRAM of the skull allowing for precise measurements and analysis of the patient’s occlusion. Malocclusion can be corrected at any age. In adults ( who are skeletally mature) the correction process typically takes longer than in children, but in most cases does not exceed 24 months and brings satisfying cosmetic and functional effects.
